Which Fitness Program Best Fits Your needs?
There are many different fitness programs to choose from, once you decide to workout. First you have fitness programs that involve weights, both free weights and fixed weights, such as universal exercise machines. There are other types of fitness programs such as aerobic exercise, which includes Taebo, and step aerobics. You might also like to try some cardio workouts such as running, swimming, or hiking. The thing is that without a set program and schedule it is just working out and not a fitness program. Here are some things you need to do to make a great program that best fits you.
First Step: Finding The Right Fitness Program For you
The first step in finding the right program for you is realizing what type of physical shape you are in. Once you have determined your own physical abilities, you can then sit down and plan out a fitness program to meet your needs. Second you must determine how much time you have available. Third you must choose which type of fitness program you want to do.
Second Step: Planning Your Schedule
Now that you know what type of fitness program you want to be involved in, and know the amount of time you have available, you must write down your fitness program schedule. If you fail to write down your fitness program schedule you will fail to adhere to your own program plan. Typically a workout session starts out with least 15 minutes of exercise per day alternating between 2 or 3 exercises per session. Every couple of weeks you should increase either the intensity of your workouts or the length of your workout sessions.
Third Step: Knowing When To Increase Your Workout Session
The best time to increase your workouts is when you are finding them to be easier then the day before. Fitness programs do not work unless you push yourself. A sure sign that your workout is becoming too easy is if you find yourself worrying more about other things than the workout. If you are working hard you will not be able to think about anything else because you are pushing yourself for the best results possible.
Should You Hire A Personal Trainer?
Only hire a personal trainer if you have no self-motivation. A lot of people would workout only if they have someone plan a fitness program for them and push them by getting on their back everyday and making them do the workouts. The biggest draw back in hiring a personal trainer is the cost. Many of them can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars a week just to keep you fit. I say if you have the money go for it, its easier, less to think of, and more motivating.
